In this passage I was asked to define the word endure, but first to fully understand this word; there is another word that will assist to enhance its meaning, and that word is; Race- this word means athletic contest, a race coarse.
Now as for the word endure means- to hold ones ground in conflict, bear up against adversity, hold out under stress, stand firm, persevere under pressure, wait calmly and courageously. It is not passive resignation to fate and mere patience, but the active, energetic, resistance to defeat that allows claim and brave endurance.
Therefore in this race or in this course of life we must hold our ground in our daily conflicts we face from day to day enduring the race is to stand firm under pressure waiting patiently till we finish our course.
